Halsin is a companion character in Baldur's Gate 3. He is a Wood Elf Circle of the Moon druid and has the Outlander background. During the events of the game, Halsin's most closely associated quest is "Lift the Shadow Curse." If the player saves him from the Goblin Camp and completes this quest, Halsin can be recruited as a companion.
Halsin is exceptionally kind and gentle. However, he is also a capable leader and will not hesitate to assert himself if necessary.
halsin is very much a comfort character for me! i most of all admire halsin's philosophy of loving freely and honestly. i also feel that halsin is one of the more gentle romance options in the game; while i love all of the companions and can absolutely understand why many of them can initially come off as harsh, sometimes i just want my video game partner to be nice to me. i think i'm just a sucker for characters who are good and kind and helpful. i know quite a few people would say halsin is less complex than some of the other companions because he experiences significantly less development through the game (he's nice and stays nice for the most part), and i'd probably agree, but that doesn't make me like him any less! :3
ok moving on to maybe less important things: halsin is huge and can easily shatter every single bone in my body which is fucking awesome Lol. but he doesn't because he's very sweet and he's also very cute. he transforms into a bear and loves to eat honey. like come on now. also if you're romancing him he has the most disgustingly affectionate pet names for you ("my heart" is a personal favorite).
